The actual source of the Ganges is at the end of the long Gangotri Glacier and is known as the "Gomukh (meaning cows mouth)". 
  The Holy River Ganges is the most sacred river in the Hindu religion and its 
  source at Gomukh on the Gangotri glacier and many other peaks. Gomukh is one of 
  the holiest places for Hindu pilgrims who come here to witness the birth of 
  Mother Ganga. The trek takes you to Gomukh (cows mouth), the mythological source 
  of the River Ganges, which is at the snout of the Gangotri glacier.
  Day 1 : RISHIKESH/UTTARKASHI DRIVE 6-7HRS OVERNIGHT GUEST HOUSE: 
  Morning after break fast drive to Uttarkashi. Lunch enroute. On the way stop at 
  zero point to see the view of Tehri Jheel, Arrive Uttrakashi and transfer to the 
  guest house. Remaining day to relax and to acclimatize. At evening visit to 
  Vishwanath temple, Meals and over night in guest house. Uttrakashi is the 
  principle town in Garhwal region. Nehru Institute of Mountaineering is situated 
  here. It is also the gateway to many mountaineering and trekking expedition in 
  Gangotri area. 
  
  Day 02: UTTRAKASHI/ GANGOTRI DRIVE 4-5 HOURS OVERNIGHT GUEST HOUSE :
  Morning after break fast drive to Gangotri. May make a comfort stop at Gangnani 
  hot spring. Those who wants can have a quick refreshing bath in the pool. Arrive 
  Gangotri and transfer to hotel.Visit Gangotri temple. Evening prayer dedicated 
  to goddess Ganges, Meals and over night hotel. 
  
  Day 03: GANGOTRI: 
  The Day is spent exploring this place of pilgrimage. Thousands of Pilgrims 
  arrive here in summer to wash away their sins in the holy Ganga, it is said that 
  Lord Shiva sat at the base of this fall to take the Ganga into his locks, for 
  otherwise her descent from the heavens would have split the earth. Dinner and 
  over night in hotel. 
  
  Day 04: Day 04- GANGOTRI / BHOJBASA (3650mt) TREK 5-6 HOURS OVERNIGHT CAMP : 
  Morning after breakfast trek to Bhojbasa. The entire trek today is along the 
  roaring Bhagirathi river. The wide trail initially passes through dense deodar 
  forests before emerging into the wide unforest valley . Arrive Bhojbasa and 
  camp. Afternoon free to explore the area and evening enjoy excellent sunset on 
  Bhagirathi group of peaks Dinner and overnight in camp.
  
  Day 05: BHOJBASA/GAUMUKH / TAPOVAN 4-5 HOURS OVERNIGHT CAMP: 
  Morning enjoy the panoramic view of Bhagirathi group of peaks. After break fast 
  trek to Gaumukh, the source of the Ganges. Explore the area and trek to Tapovan. 
  One of the finest high altitude alpine meadows in the area. Today we traverse 
  the entire Gangotri glacier to reach Tapovan. Arrive Tapovan and camp, Dinner 
  and overnight camp. 
  
  Day 06 : TAPOVAN OVERNIGHT CAMP : 
  Day free to explore the area, one can read, meditate, walk to the base of high 
  peaks and explore high altitude flora and fauna. Evening encounter the most 
  panoramic sunset on high peaks. Meals and overnight camp.
  
  Day 07: TAPOVAN/ NANDANVAN 5-6 HOURS :
  This Day is largely an exercise is boulder hopping. Crossing the moraine covered 
  Gangotri glacier to Nandawan located at the confluence of the Chaturangi and the 
  Gangotri glaciers. Literally meaning the four coloured glacier. The Chaturangi 
  is truly multi-hued. The massive meadows of Nandavan are situated at the base of 
  the Bhagirathi massif. The area provides excellent sightings of Bharal (blue 
  sheep), Meals and overnight in camp. 
  
  Day 08: NANDANVAN/BASUKI TAL /NANDANVAN 7-8 HOURS OVER NIGHT CAMP: 
  A full Day walk to the picturesque Vasuki Tal. The trail follows a grassy ridge 
  running parallel to the Chaturangi glaciers, across a small glacieroded valley 
  to Vasuki tal. It then continues along the lateral moraine of the Chaturangi 
  glacier to views of Mt. Satopanth. Return to camp. Meals and overnight camp. 
  
  Day 09: -NANDAN VAN /BHOJBASA 4-5HOURS OVERNIGHT CAMP :
  Early morning enjoy the sunrise on high peaks , After breakfast trek to down to 
  Bhojbasa. Arrive Bhojbasa and camp. Meals and overnight camp. 
  
  Day10: BHOJBASA / GANGOTR / UTTRAKASHI 7-8 HOURS OVERNIGHT GUEST HOUSE :
  Morning after breakfast trek to down to Gangotri. Latter drive to Uttrakashi, 
  Enroute stop at Gangnani for a refreshing bath. Arrive Uttrakashi and check in 
  guest house. Meals and overnight guest house. 
  
  Day 11: DAY 11- UTTRAKASHI/ RISHIKESH 6-7 HOURS :
  Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Lunch enroute, Arrive Rishikesh. 
  Tour terminates upon arrivel at Rishikesh. 
   
DAY 01 ARRIVAL AT DELHI
On arrival in Delhi at International airport you will be met by our  representative would assist, displaying placard addressed to your name, you  will be welcomed with traditional Indian Hospitality with flowers &  beautiful stroll. Then you will be escorted to your Hotel and there you can  discuss your programs in detail and clear your doubts. Dinner and overnight  stay will be at hotel.
DAY 02: DELHI - HARIDWAR (210 KMS/ 07 HRS)
  Morning after breakfast drive to Haridwar. Haridwar is the gateway to the four  pilgrimages in the Uttarakhand region and is located on the foothills of  Shivaliks. It is on the banks of River Ganges. The River Ganges leaves the  mountains and enters the plains with Haridwar being the first major town on the  plains. Though the Ganges does not lose its rapids completely nevertheless it  becomes very quite and calm here. The city acquires a unique charm in the  evening when the ghats become breathtakingly beautiful with thousands of Diyas  and Marigold floating in the waters of Ganges. We visit various places like  Mansa Devi temple, Sapt Rishi, Daksha Mahadev temple etc. In the evening we  will visit Har Ki Pauri again. In the evening a Maha Aarti is performed on this  ghat. Overnight stay at the hotel
DAY 03: RISHIKESH – UTTARKASHI (152 KMS/5-6 HRS DRIVE)
  Morning after breakfast proceed for Uttarkashi (1150mt), which takes 5-6 hrs  drive. Upon arrival check-in at Hotel. Evening free to explore the surrounding  by your own. Overnight stay at hotel.
  Uttarkashi is the principle town in the region. Nehru  Institute of Mountaineering is situated here. It is also the gateway to many  Mountaineering and trekking expedition in Gangotri area.
DAY 04: UTTARKASHI - GANGOTRI (3048 M/ 10,000 FT) DRIVE (100  KMS DRIVE – 4HRS).
  Morning after breakfast drive to reach Gangotri via Harsil (approx 25 km before  Gangotri (3048mt) by covering approx 100 km in 4-5 hrs. On arrival check-into  Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  There is a beautiful Gorge at Bhairon Ghati over which there  is a steel guarder bridge. Gangotri is the place where the Goddess Ganga  descended on Earth from Heaven. There is a Temple of Goddess Ganga where  thousands of devotees throng to pay homage to her.
Gangotri: The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3200 m surrounded by deodars and pines. The original temple was constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa. Every year people from all around the world visit this shrine. A number of ashrams and dharamshalas are located on the other side of the river. It is believed that Raja Bhagirath used to worship Shiva on a slab of rock "Bhagirath Shila" situated near the temple. Submerged in the river there is a natural Shivling where, according to mythology, Lord Shiva sat when he received the Goddess Ganga in his matted locks. A days trek takes one to Gomukh, the source of the mighty Ganges.
DAY 05: GANGOTRI (3048 MTS/10000 FT) - BHOJWASA (3792  MTS/12440 FT) 14 KMS TREK
  trek/5-6 hrs) Morning after breakfast we commands our trek further to Bhojwasa  via Chirbasa (3600mt). From Gangotri we move along the beaten track towards  Chirbasa, which is on tree line. The entire trek today is along the roaring  Bhagirathi River. Beyond Chirbasa the terrain becomes really desolate and  barren. In fact, it has been referred to as Artic Tundra by many trekkers. From  Chirbasa we trek further to Bhojwasa, the entire trail passes through dense  forest, Arrive Bhojwasa; there is a small temple and a potential campsite near  down the river. We make our camp near river side. Afternoon free to explore the  area and to enjoy excellent sunset on Bhagirathi group of peaks. Dinner and  overnight stay in tents.
DAY 06: BHOJWASA - GOMUKH (3890 MTS/12760 FT) - TAPOVAN  (4463 MTS / 14640 FT) 9 KMS TREK
  Early in the Morning enjoy the panoramic view of Bhagirathi group of peaks.  After breakfast trek to Gomukh (3890mt), the source of the Ganges. Gomukh is  where the water of Ganga trickles down from the glaciers. The sages called it  'Gomukh', because in the distant past, it probably appeared like a cow's mouth.  Explore the area and trek to Tapovan, one of the finest high altitude alpine  meadows in the area. The trek from Gomukh to Tapovan is ascent steep, and as we  climb, the view of the surrounding peaks becomes clearer. The appear to be just  a stone's throw away. Tapovan known for its beautiful meadows that encircle the  base camp of the Shivling peak, Tapovan is a very pleasant surprised spot with  a large meadow complete with bubbling streams, wildflowers and campsites. Herds  of Bharal (blue mountain goats) are a common sight from here on mountain  ridges. On the far side of the glacier the Bhagirathi I, II, III (6454mt),  provide an equally impressive backdrop. It is also the little wonder where  Sadhus and saints choose this spot for extended meditation during the long  summer month. Arrive Tapovan and camp. Dinner and overnight stay in camp.
Gomukh: The Gomukh glacier is the source of Bhagirathi (Ganges) and is held in high esteem by the devout who do not miss the opportunity to have a holy dip in the bone chilling icy water.
Tapovan: Tapovan is an ideal location for the tourists looking for peace and adventure. Tapovan is located on an altitude of 4463m / 14640ft above sea level. Tapovan is base camp for Shivling peak in Uttarakhand hills. One can also have a nice view of Bhagirathi peaks from Tapovan Meadow. Every year this place has been visited by thousands of tourist including foreigners for adventure activity like mountaineering & trekking.
DAY 07: TAPOVAN (4463 MTS / 14640 FT)
  Free to acclimatize, relax and enjoy the magnificent snow clapped peaks, flora  & Fauna and mountain landscape. Explore the Kriti & Meru Glacier.  Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
DAY 08: TAPOVAN – BHOJWASA (TREK 4-5 HRS)
  Early morning enjoy the sunrise on high peaks. After breakfast trek down to  Bhojwasa. Arrive Bhojwasa and camp. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
DAY 09: BHOJWASA - GANGOTRI – UTTARKASHI (TREK 4-5 HRS + 100  KMS DRIVE – 4 HRS)
  Morning after breakfast trek down to Gangotri with pack lunch arrive and drive  to Uttarkashi arrive check in hotel dinner & overnight stay in hotel.
  Uttarkashi meaning Kashi of the north, is a town in  Uttarakhand, India. It is the district headquarters of Uttarkashi district. Uttarkashi  is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi at an altitude of 1352 m above sea  level. Uttarkashi is home to a number of ashrams and temples and also to the  Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. The name of the town reflects its similarity  to and location (as north of) the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Similar to  Varanasi, town of Uttarkashi is situated on the Ganges, lies next to a hill  named Varun Parvat, on confluence of two rivers Varuna and Asi, has a ghat  called Manikarnika Ghat and has a temple dedicated to Shiva (Kashi Vishwanath  Temple) in the center of the town.
DAY 10: UTTARKASHI – RISHIKESH (151 KMS DRIVE – 7 HRS)
  Morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh via Tehri and chmba, on arrival  check in at the hotel. In the evening visit temple and ashrams in Laxman Jhula  & Ram Jhula & Ghat, Ghat's s to encounter evening Ghat life as well as  special Arti "The Prayer dedicated to Goddess Ganges" " the town  of ashrams and temples, Ghats and pilgrims, mountains and the holy Ganges. When  global orange sun suspended, waits low amid the red/yellow streaked horizon,  then all these combine to give this town a very special evening. The temple  bells roar, priests enchant mantras. Immersed in sublimation stand the  pilgrims. Cupped leaves, with saffron marigold petals and a small candle flame,  flickering ride the current of water of wisdom. Suddenly the sky darkens,  spreading a blanket of stillness. Everything stops, except the sound of  current, which has just sunk the tiny flames of cupped leaves, few minutes  back. After experiencing above we trace ours steps back to the hotel.
    Dinner and overnight stay will be hotel at Rishikesh
DAY 11: RISHIKESH - HARIDWAR – DELHI (250 KMS. / 6 -7 HOURS  DRIVE)
  Morning after Breakfast visit Haridwar sightseeing tour later Afternoon Drive  to Delhi upon arrive check in at Hotel dinner & Overnight Stay will be  hotel at Delhi
DAY 12: DEPARTURE FROM NEW DELHI
  Day at leisure. Optional sightseeing tour of Delhi. Later transfer to  international airport and flight back to Home.
